Altar Guild

The work of the Altar Guild lays the ground for the Liturgy and continues at the end of each service. The Altar Guild cares for the sacred vessels, the bread and the wine, the fair linens, hangings, and the candles and torches used for worship in the Church and St. Agnes Chapel. The work done by the Altar Guild is far more than a chore. It is a true calling to ministry. The Altar Guild members work closely with the Rector and are trained by other Guild members so that the work is done “properly and in good order.” Many hours are spent to maintain the chancel of Christ Church. Each member of the Altar Guild is important as they contribute to the sacred work of the Guild. Together we work to the greater glory of God. We are always looking for new members to join us. At this time, we are particularly in need of someone who attends the 10:00 a.m. service. Please consider joining us in this important ministry.
